We're heading back to the Kennedy Center!
Le Cantanti has been selected to represent Chicago at the 2020 Serenade! Festival, "World Voices for Women: Pioneers, Progress, Purpose," celebrating the ratification of the 19th Amendment, giving US women the right to vote.
But LCDC will not only participate - we have also been selected to sing the world premiere of a song commissioned to honor Ida B. Wells on the Kennedy Center stage! What a privilege!

Summer 2020 will see us returning to the Kennedy Center, where the Serenade! festival will honor 6 women suffragists - among them the Chicago icon Ida B. Wells, for whom a new piece will be commissioned...to be sung by us!
